Our "in-house" engineering capabilities allow us to offer our customers many benefits over the conventional "plan and spec" construction process. Traditionally, an architectural and/or engineering firm is contracted to develop design criteria, specifications, and drawings. This information is then sent to a contractor for budgeting and bid. If costs exceed the customer's budget, then the process must be repeated with design revisions and repeated until budget is reached or the project is canceled. This process is time consuming and expensive and may cause an owner to lose a potential tenant or a construction manager to lose a prospective client.

DE-CAL can work with your customers to develop designs that suit their needs and budgets. We can engineer or modify an existing design and provide immediate pricing feedback to streamline the design/bid loop. Another benefit to the design/build customer is the elimination of extra work claims. As sole source designer and constructor we are responsible for a complete working system.
